Had a lovely barbecue at the weekend – homemade burgers, real lemonade (made by my daughter), strawberries and cream, and rounders to finish off – isn't England beautiful this time of the year?
I used to work on magazines and so they've always been a part of my world but I've recently found them increasingly dull. In fact, since I've discovered blogging I've hardly bought one. I love reading blogs but the trouble is, sitting in bed squinting at my iPhone isn't such a nice experience as flicking through a shiny new glossy. That was until my shiny new iPad arrived! (Spoilt, I know.) Now I read blog after blog every night before bed but I have also rediscovered magazines - digital ones of course. They're fab - and free! If you can recommend some good reads then please do. In the meantime here's one I stumbled across - can't wait for the next issue. This is the spring issue of Sweet Paul - full of great recipes, crafts, kids' party tips and much more. I'll share some more great reads in future posts.
I love strawberry picking. At the pick-you-own farm that we go to along the Rye Road there is such a beautiful view over the valley, rows and rows of hops growing with oast houses dotted in between. Last week I took some of our new Chinese take-away style boxes to photograph. What do you think? They make a perfect alternative to party bags and look cute with the flower and button stickers. I think they're going to be very popular. And when we were done - I ate the props!
Its been an age since my last post but I've been very busy – honest! I have finally managed to change my url to match my new shop address - you can now find me at blog.lovethelittlethings.co.uk. But after doing that I couldn't work out the redirection so all my followers could find me. It's sorted now though - I hope!
I have to thank Carole at Mademoiselle Poirot for helping me suss out whether I could be seen in Blogland. If you haven't visited her blog then you must – it's beautiful. She has a stall at Greenwich Market where every week she sells her gorgeous creations – take a peek!
