I recently discovered a Japanese company called Fog Linen Work. I love a pinny and I've been looking for one that's comfortable to wear but still looks good, one that doesn't make me look like Nora Batty. I've been through the girly flowery ones and come out the other side and just wanted something a bit utilitarian that I could bung over leggings while I'm working. Here's the answer - a bit pricey but made from such lovely linen that I only take it off to go to bed (and reluctantly when I go to the Post Office). I bought mine from a shop in Hastings Old Town but I know that the cafe apron is sold at the beautiful shop Fen&Ned and while you're there, have a peep at her lovely blog.
