Yesterday was the best day ever!
I like to keep my blog a little bit light and fluffy so I haven't been totally honest over the last year. Last June I had an operation on my knees as one was very swollen and the other was giving me trouble. Unfortunately by November it was swollen again . . and then so was my wrist . . . and then I had horrible pains in my chest . . . and then my middle finger on my right hand swelled up. Well to cut a very long and painful story short I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in March and to add to my misery I had to have a hysterectomy (I won't go into the details of why) before I could start my treatment. Well, the good news is that I have started my treatment and my operation was now two months ago and I'm feeling better than I have done for over 18 months.
For Christmas I was lucky enough to get a bike (remember this post from last year?) and not just any bike – my very own Pashley! But because of my aches and pains I haven't even been able to cycle down the road in the last five months. Yesterday I saw my surgeon and as the RA is under control he said I could go for a bike ride. And so that's what I did - after everything I've been through recently I felt like it was the best day ever!

So glad to hear you are feeling better, and that the RA is finally under control. Love the image of you cycling on your beautiful Pashley, happy and smiling and well. Sending love.
Thank you! It really was great especially as Cecily got a bike for her birthday and has been dying to go for a ride together. jxx
Hope you are feeling much better after having the wind blow through your hair on your bike ride.
Lots and lots of love to you, and wishing you a full recovery. xxx
