Jack in the Green

I love Hastings at this time of the year - when it's sunny but not spoilt by too many tourists. Last week was one of our favourite traditions - Jack in the Green. Morris dancers, bogeys and a giant bush all parade through the town and up to the castle. Unfortunately this year they changed the route and we missed it - we were too busy drinking ale in the Smuggler's Arms to notice. Oh well, maybe next year!
