I was lucky enough to go to Taste of London on Friday. It's a great way to sample the food of some of London's best restaurants. But after crispy squid, mutton stew, a chicken tikka pie, soft shell crab, a chocolate brownie, champagne, half a bitter and an espresso I did leave feeling a bit sick! Fun though.

I love strawberry picking. At the pick-you-own farm that we go to along the Rye Road there is such a beautiful view over the valley, rows and rows of hops growing with oast houses dotted in between. There was definitely a feeling of spring in the air last week - it was no longer pitch black at 5pm and a few snowdrops had pushed through the frost. I got a little overexcited and planted some primroses in a basket to put on the kitchen table. Our dishwasher has broken and so now we are washing up every night. Whenever I wash up it reminds me of something my gran used to say when I was little - my gran who will be 99 this year. I'm going to buy a bike! When most people are joining the gym, I've cancelled my membership (I hate it!) but I have to get fit. And so I've decided I'm going to buy a bike. This weekend we went on our favourite walk through the bluebells to the organic vineyard - a bottle of wine and some camembert under the tree and then home. Unfortunately though they've ploughed the field - as you can see there was just a little patch of grass left to sit on!

This time last week we were on our way to the Isle of Wight for the start of our fab weekend in an Airstream. Actually it was a present for my 40th birthday and it couldn't have been more perfect - I may not be as old as the trailer (although she has probably aged better) but it was certainly a trip down memory lane (we even played Coppit - remember that?). I've been working on a new flyer to send out using some of the pictures from the weekend to promote our new retro-print fabric party bags. I'm really pleased with it. What do you think?
